Venezuelans in the world expressed their support for María Corina Machado and rejected the persecution by Maduro – El Nacional

by admin

Venezuelans around the world are showing their support for opposition leader María Corina Machado and denouncing the persecution carried out by President Nicolas Maduro’s government. Machado has called for an international protest to demand that Maduro respect her candidacy and put an end to the harassment she has been facing.

In Spain, former Mexican president Felipe Calderón led a demonstration in support of Machado, while David Iturriago, the coordinator of Vente Venezuela in Spain, vowed to continue raising their voices against the Maduro regime. The international solidarity comes as Machado reiterates her invitation for people to demand free elections on February 4th.

The Venezuelan opposition leader has been a vocal critic of Maduro’s government and has faced numerous obstacles in her political career, including an attempt to disqualify her from running for the presidency.

Venezuelans in the diaspora are standing in solidarity with Machado and are calling for international support to ensure free and fair elections in the country. The global outcry against the persecution of political opponents in Venezuela highlights the widespread concern over the state of democracy in the South American nation.
