Fired from Record, Oliveira Andrade was angered by criticism of his narration and cursed a blogger on Friday night (26). The veteran narrator called the owner of the Silvinho TV profile a scoundrel when his performance was compared to a wake. The blogger viewed the message as a “death threat”.

The 73-year-old announcer was announced by Record last year as one of the major reinforcements for coverage of the Campeonato Paulista, but he only took charge of two games before being dismissed.

O TV News found that Oliveira Andrade was loved behind the scenes at the broadcaster, but the “discouraged” style of his narration displeased the public and sponsors. The work generated a barrage of criticism on social media. One of them was made by the blogger who received the speaker’s response.

“The coverage would be harmed by that wake narration”, commented Silvinho, who subsequently received a direct message from Andrade on X (formerly Twitter). “The wake will be yours soon, you scoundrel,” replied the narrator.

The blogger posted the print on his profile and said he was frightened by the tone of the message. “Apparently, I was threatened with death. In all these years on Twitter, this has never happened to me. I just expressed an opinion. I have nothing against the person of the narrator Oliveira Andrade, I even admire his career. It was just a criticism to the tone of the narration”, he wrote.

“I’m feeling scared, after all I’m just a tweeter, I don’t have fame, I don’t have power, like a widely known narrator. Anyway, if I don’t appear here anymore or if something serious happens to me, I ask that this print reaches the authorities”, concluded Silvinho.

In another post, Oliveira Andrade once again expressed his indignation with the internet comments. “The social network is a sewer. Nelson Rodrigues wrote that the world would be made up of idiots, not because they are competent, because there are many of them”, wrote the narrator.

Record called Lucas Pereira, who had been dismissed from the broadcaster in August last year, to replace Oliveira Andrade. The veteran’s dismissal was confirmed, but without details about the reason. “Starting this Sunday, all Paulistão 2024 matches will be narrated by Lucas Pereira. We appreciate the partnership with Oliveira Andrade at the beginning of the Championship”, informed the TV.
