There are 6,468 (double the number of yesterday) the new Covid infections recorded in the last 24 hours in Veneto and 17 deaths. The bulletin of the Region reports it. The rise in cases is also due to the increase in tracking activity, with over 50,000 swabs processed. The total number of infected since the beginning of the epidemic rises to 670,277, that of victims to 12,417. Currently positive people are 111,589. The hospital situation is now very serious: Covid patients hospitalized in the medical area rise to 1,316 (+52), and 200 (-2) those in intensive care.
LOMBARDY
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA
Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia out of 4,976 tests and swabs 453 positivity to Covid 19 were found, equal to 9.10%. In detail, on 2,092 molecular swabs 269 new infections were detected (12.86%), on 4,976 rapid antigenic tests 184 cases (3.70%). The first age group for what concerns today’s infection is 40-49 (18.98%), followed by 0-19 (17.44%), 50-59 (15.89%), 20 -29 (15.23%) and finally from 30-39 (12.80%). 53.64% of positive cases concern females. Today there are the deaths of 6 people, between 83 and 73 years old, who died in hospital. Intensive care patients are 30 (+2), patients in other wards 308 (+10). There have been 4,234 deaths in the region since the start of the pandemic.
LIGURIA
There are 1,276 new covid-19 positives in Liguria today, compared to 4,323 molecular swabs carried out in the last 24 hours, to which another 1,906 rapid antigenic swabs are added. In Imperia (Asl 1): there are 155 cases, in Savona 71, in Genoa 524, and in Spezia 526. This was announced by the Region, adding that today there are also four other victims including a 56-year-old man, a woman of 91, one of 86 and another 87-year-old man. There are 15 new patients in the hospital, bringing the total to 557 patients, including 47 in intensive care. There are 412 people in home isolation. Finally, the total vaccinated to date, in the Region, are 2,447,920. 944 doses have been administered in the past 24 hours.
EMILIA ROMAGNA
Over eight thousand new infections in Emilia-Romagna, out of 31,140 swabs in the last 24 hours, and another 17 deaths, from 69 to 101 years. In the daily bulletin of the Region, the number of hospitalized in intensive care is stable, 131 (+1), 72.5% not vaccinated, while patients in the other Covid departments are growing, 1,528 (+77). Compared to the 9,090 cases recorded yesterday, infections (8,014) recorded a -11.8%, while that of hospitalized in Covid wards a + 5.3%. Bologna exceeds two thousand new positives (2,068 plus 182 from Imola), Modena has 1,181, Ravenna 897. Overall, 1,207 more healed in the region since yesterday and active cases are currently 103,826 (+6,790), 98 , 4% in isolation with mild or no symptoms. For the vaccination campaign, 3,614,837 people over 12 have completed the vaccination cycle, 90%, while those with at least one dose (3,696,550) have reached 92%, always over 12. Third doses already made are 1,427,936.
TUSCANY
In Tuscany there are 6,952 new Covid cases (4,495 confirmed with molecular swab and 2,457 by rapid antigen test), which bring the total to 409,912 since the beginning of the Coronavirus health emergency. New cases are 1.7% more than the previous day’s total. The healed grew by 0.3% and reached 301,555 (73.6% of total cases). Today 15,673 molecular swabs and 11,966 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 25.2% were positive. On the other hand, 11,478 subjects were tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular swabs, excluding control swabs), of which 60.6% were positive. The currently positive are 100,783 today, + 6.3% compared to yesterday. The hospitalized are 839 (59 more than yesterday), of which 84 in intensive care (1 less). Today there are 6 new deaths: 2 men and 4 women with an average age of 75.5 years.
UMBRIA
LAZIO
Today in Lazio out of 16,065 molecular swabs and 27,837 antigenic swabs for a total of 43,902 swabs, there are 5,614 new positive cases (-2,379), 15 deaths, 1,199 hospitalized (+26), 158 intensive care (+6) and +1.234 the healed. The ratio of positives to swabs is 12.7%. This was announced by the councilor for health Alessio D’Amato, who adds: the cases in Rome city are at 2,961. Yesterday over 43,000 vaccines were carried out, equal to 28% of the commissioner’s target.

ABRUZZO
There are 1,990 (aged between 1 and 93 years) the new positive cases of Covid registered today in Abruzzo, bringing the total from the beginning of the emergency to 113,719. Of today’s positives, 1368 were identified through rapid antigen testing. The total also includes the positives ascertained through antigen tests, as required by the circular of the Regional Health Department of 29 December. The death toll of patients recorded 3 new cases (it is a 91 year old and a 78 year old from the province of Teramo, while the third dates back to recent days and was communicated only today by the ASL) and rises to 2645. 87371 discharged / recovered are also included (+284 compared to yesterday). The currently positives in Abruzzo (calculated by subtracting the number of discharged / recovered and deceased from the total of positives) are 23703 (+1703 compared to yesterday). In the last 24 hours, 2473 molecular swabs were performed (1743178 in total since the start of the emergency) and 13218 antigen tests (1864032). The positivity rate, calculated on the sum of molecular swabs and antigen tests of the day, is equal to 12.68 percent.
MOLISE
CAMPANIA
The positivity rate at Covid in Campania falls to 13.6% according to the data of the last twenty-four hours collected in the bulletin of the Crisis Unit. A percentage that is affected by the increase in tests carried out yesterday. The positives of the day are in fact 6,653 compared to 48,768 tests. On the other hand, the number of deaths is growing: as many as 14 in the last 48 hours, to which must be added another seven deaths that occurred previously but registered only yesterday for a total of 21 deaths. The number of intensive care beds occupied rose from 55 to 60.
Those in hospital go from 718 yesterday to 750 today.
BASILICATA
PUGLIA
Today in Puglia there are 3,568 new Covid infections (11.5% of the 30,923 tests) and two deaths. The incidence of positives detected compared to the number of swabs has almost halved compared to yesterday when 20.3% of positivity was recorded. To date, there are 33,976 positive people in Puglia, 299 are hospitalized in a non-critical area (yesterday they were 283) and 33 in intensive care (yesterday 32). The cases identified in the last 24 hours are distributed as follows: 1,458 in the province of Bari, 227 in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, 477 in the province of Brindisi, 292 in the province of Foggia, 745 in that of Lecce, 307 in that of Taranto. There are 56 cases involving residents outside the region, while for another six infections the province to which they belong has not yet been defined.
CALABRIA
There are 1,073 new infections found in the last 24 hours in Calabria with 9,052 swabs performed and a positivity rate halved: from 21.12 yesterday to 11.85%. Five deaths, the same figure as yesterday, bringing the total of victims to 1,635. Admissions in ordinary wards rose by 11 (323), one more in intensive care (29).
The healed are 94,870 (+368) and 18,337 (+700) the currently positive; the blocks are 17,985 (+688).
SICILY
SARDINIA
In Sardinia, there are currently 543 further confirmed cases of Covid positivity, based on 2,420 people tested. A total of 6,637 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. Patients admitted to intensive care units are 18 (1 more than yesterday). Patients admitted to the medical area are 174 (15 more than yesterday). There are 9,444 cases of home isolation (328 more than yesterday) .The death of a 73-year-old woman residing in the province of Nuoro is recorded.
