The Arpav detected high values one kilometer away: no health problems. Firefighters still working to cool the shed
VOLPAGO. One kilometer away from the PMG fire, the concentration limits for ethanol have been exceeded. This is the only element that exceeded the parameters based on the samples made by Arpav on Thursday morning, after the warehouse of the logistics company in Via Pastro had been burning for more than 12 hours. “This is what the Arpav found – informs the mayor of Volpago, Paolo Guizzo– a thousand meters away, concentrations of ethanol were found that exceeded the limits. No other parameters were overstepped. It is the result of the presence of a very high number of bottles of prosecco in the warehouse. So there was no need for any communication to the population on precautions to be taken. “Then the hectoliters and hectoliters of “mulled wine” produced by the fire meant that the fallout of the dust on the ground caused the concentration of ethanol, commonly known as ethyl alcohol, present in alcoholic beverages and therefore in the bottles of the winery to be exceeded Mionetto stored in the PMG warehouse in via Pastro.
In the meantime, yesterday the firefighters finished dismantling everything that was reduced to ashes in the huge fire to prevent the outbreaks from regaining strength and in these days they will proceed to search for the causes that caused the flames to flare up Wednesday evening. The hypotheses remain open to 360 degrees.
