The phenomenon – La Stampa

by admin

For some millennium, man has been trying to define the phenomenon. For example, a fool is an idiot who has made a career. Or, the more stupid a man is, the less mysterious his existence seems to him. Again, the fool has an answer for everything. A very famous one: nothing like the stupid gives the idea of ā€‹ā€‹infinity. One of my favorites: stupid people can’t do their stupid job. This too is not bad: the stupid knows everything, he just ignores how stupid he is. One could go on for pages: there is a difference between the genius and the stupid, the stupid has no limits; the fool is convinced that he acts in the name of good and that he is always right; the fool drags you down to beat you with his weapons; the amount of criticism a fool can produce is amazing; nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere and conscientious fool; it is better to keep your mouth shut and let people think you are stupid, rather than opening it and removing all doubts; the intelligent seek solutions, the stupid seek guilty; against stupidity there are no defenses.

All beautiful, eh, all centered, effective. However, it has never really been possible to illuminate the concept. This one came close: never underestimate the power of a fool in a large group. And the one that came closest of all is this: stupid is someone who hurts others while also hurting themselves. However, gentlemen, we had to wait centuries and centuries but yesterday we finally reached perfection: the fool goes to the press conference to do the ganassa and candid Maria Elisabetta Casellati.
