A network of councilors from various municipalities, not only from the province of Alessandria, will present an agenda in support of the workers of the former Framar, today Freudenberg Home and Cleaning Solutions, which wants to move the headquarters from Mombello Monferrato (Alessandria) to Monselice ( Padua).
“In Mombello – explains Massimo Iaretti, director of Movimento Progetto Piemonte – something similar is happening to what happened in Villanova Monferrato with the former Bistefani, where Bauli acquired the brands, initially ensuring employment, then moved the production lines elsewhere. And here the film repeats itself, for this reason we also asked for the solidarity of other municipal councilors and council groups in areas outside the Valcerrina, such as San Giorgio Monferrato, Giarole, Morsasco, Cassano Spinola, Chieri, Tortona, thus joining the network to make people feel our voice louder ».
With a request for urgent discussion, Iaretti presented an agenda on the subject to the Council of the Union of Municipalities of Valcerrina, the same will be done by the councilors in other municipalities in the province of Alessandria and neighboring ones. On Wednesday 24 March morning the mayor of Mombello, Augusto Cavallo, and the president of the Union of Municipalities of Valcerrina, Fabio Olivero, will meet the trade unions.
