Japan, Australia and the USA are arming themselves for the war over Taiwan

A Chinese researcher studying the political situation in the region told a Hong Kong newspaper the smell of gunpowder was in the air. US war planners and analysts had recently presented estimates of when Beijing would be ready to take Taiwan. Oriana Skylar Mastro, a defense scientist at Stanford University, put the timeframe at 2025 to 2027. She thinks that China is more likely to attack then than not.
