Shopping Arena is testing carpool parking spaces

Fight against the metal snake: Carpool to the shopping arena and get privileged parking

Less traffic and fewer bottlenecks in parking spaces: this is the aim of a pilot project in the belly of the shopping arena in St.Gallen. If the experiment proves successful on a small scale, there could later be more parking spaces in the parking lot of the largest shopping center in eastern Switzerland for carpools of at least three people.

The Shopping Arena in the west of the city of St.Gallen is the largest shopping center in Eastern Switzerland, is in the top 10 in the country and has a wide reach. The location is ideal for shoppers: Winkeln train station is close, buses stop in front of the arena door, and the building is located directly at the Winkeln motorway junction and has a parking garage with 1,100 parking spaces.
