Liu Qiangdong, the founder and chairman of JD.com, has made a heartwarming gesture by sending a special New Year’s gift to over 1,300 villagers in Guangming Village, his hometown in Suqian, Jiangsu. The gift, which includes more than a thousand down jackets and JD.com supermarket nut gift boxes, is part of the “I Send New Year’s Goods to the Village” campaign recently launched by JD.com and top 100 brands.
The move has been met with gratitude and admiration from the villagers, with many referring to Liu Qiangdong as “The Great Qiangzi.” It has also been highlighted that through his efforts, the employment rate in the village has reached 100%, with all the villagers, educated and uneducated alike, finding employment at JD.com.
