ROME – Among the novelties that will attract visitors to the gates of the first edition of the Munich Motor Show (IAA Mobility) scheduled from 7 to 12 September, a front row seat belongs to Limo, a zero-emission sedan that will be exhibited at the Mobilize stand , the Renault Group brand that manages the mobility services linked to the French giant. The newcomer is therefore a comfortable and practical 4.67-meter sedan with 100% electric engine, which will only be available by subscription with “à la carte” mobility packages and offers, intended in particular for taxis and rental with driver ( Ncc).
“Limo is the very first model signed by Mobilize, and it is the response of our new brand to the evolutions of the passenger transport market”, explains Clotilde Delbos, general manager of Mobilize. “This offering, which combines a flexible vehicle and services, demonstrates Mobilize’s full ability to accompany users to meet their new needs. It also demonstrates an exclusive know-how, the result of the Renault group’s experience in mobility services and the strength of RCI Bank and Services in financial solutions ”.
After all, the ride-hailing market, that is the taxi and NCC market, already represents a value in Europe of 28 billion, but it is expected that by 2030 it will almost double. A scenario in which electric vehicles will inevitably play a leading role.
With an autonomy of about 450 km, Mobilize Limo therefore seems to be the most appropriate answer to these needs, given the amount of kilometers that drivers of cars for public transport services have to travel every day. In addition, the car will be marketed with an offer that includes both the car itself and services for all types of drivers.
“The rental contracts proposed will be flexible in terms of mileage and duration”, they explain to the parent company. “A pay as you drive solution will also be offered for occasional drivers. In addition, for taxi and rental companies with driver, a complete solution will be proposed for their business (delivery, payment solutions, recharging, connectivity, etc.) to optimize TCO (Total Cost of Operations) and operational excellence. , at the service of customers “.
Proposed in the three body colors Metallic Black, Metallic Gray, Glossy White, Limo is equipped with a 100% electric 150 Hp engine capable of offering an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.6 seconds and a speed maximum speed of 140 km / h. It is possible to choose three driving modes – Eco, Normal and Sport – and three levels of regenerative braking intensity on the vehicle controls. There is also a multimedia system that includes the Smartphone Replication function via the central 12.3 ”touchscreen display.
The heart of the car is the 60 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery which, as we said, allows it to travel around 450 km (WLTP cycle under approval) between two recharges. Obviously, the car can be connected to all public columns and Wallbox-type domestic charging infrastructures.
