It wasn’t planned that way: in a stage accident, Madonna literally falls off her chair. But if anyone has internalized the motto “Show must go on”, it is the Queen of Pop.

With her decades of performance experience, nothing upsets Madonna, not even a stage accident. The audience was able to see this for themselves at “The Celebration Tour” in Seattle: The singer fell off her chair while she was performing “Open Your Heart” – and continued to sing while lying on her back as if nothing had happened.

A video that can be seen on the US celebrity portal “TMZ” shows the incident. A chair served Madonna as a stage prop. In a choreographed movement, a dancer pulled the chair with the singer and tilted it slightly backwards. But the man apparently couldn’t keep his balance and fell to the ground – along with the chair and the singing “Queen of Pop” on it. The audience groaned.

But true professional Madonna, despite the unplanned position on her back, simply carried on, sang into her microphone and quickly stood on both feet again. The 65-year-old brought the song, chair dance performance and ultimately the entire concert to an end as if nothing had happened.

The next appearances on their US tour are coming up in just a few days. Later this week, Madonna will play in Vancouver, Sacramento and San Francisco before appearing in Las Vegas and Los Angeles at the beginning of March.
