Be careful! Withdrawal of one of the healthiest foods in the world: Ministry alert. It should absolutely not be consumed in order not to put your health at risk
As always, the Ministry reports on its reference site a note with the products withdrawn from the market, because they are considered dangerous for citizens. There is a full refund of the purchase.
As happens almost daily, the Ministry of Health has reported on its institutional portal a series of products withdrawn from the market due to possible risks in consumption. In this case we refer today a few batches of chia seeds (technical name Salvia hispanica), marketed under the brands From the Good Earth Pedon e Cuisine and Flavors (by MD) for the “Possible presence of the soy allergen not declared on the label”. Specifically, as we learn from the reference sheet, these are the following products:
1- Chia Seeds From Good Earth Pedon, in bags of 150 grams, expiring on 06/18/2023.
2 – Chia Seeds From Good Earth Pedon, in bags of 250 grams, with expiry date 19/06/2023. The report was also made by Esselunga (update of 6 June 2022).
3 – Chia seeds Cuisine and Flavors by MD Spain packs of 250 grams, with expiry on 11/06/2023.
Ministry alert, several batches of chia seeds withdrawn: presence of undeclared soy allergen reported
Regarding the withdrawal of the chia seeds produced by Pedon Spawe refer to the plant in via del Progresso 32 in Colceresa, in the province of Vicenza.
The reference of the Ministry of Health for all consumers allergic to soy is not to consume the product and to immediately return the packages to the shop where they were purchased. With the note from the government agency, the merchant is obliged to repay the purchase in full and to take back the offending lot (even without the need for a receipt to show).
However, it should be emphasized that there are no problems for all citizens who are not allergic to soy.
