The statement of the mayor and candidate of Carpaneto Andrea Arfani
“The information that our municipal administration has sent over the years to the
communities and the population of Carpaneto, are today – for the umpteenth time – transformed into fake news for electoral purposes. The last, in chronological order, concerns the gymnasium built in the area belonging to the schools and inaugurated about two months ago. A project inherited from the previous municipal administration and which – due to its strategic importance for the school and sports world – we have chosen to deepen and strengthen by moving the objective from the initial tensile structure to a much more structured sports facility. Thanks to our new project, which provided for a total investment of one million euros, we were able to access non-repayable grants disbursed both by the Ministry of Education and by the Emilia Romagna Region. The amount of the amount forced us to divide the project into three sections, with the first involving the construction of the main body with equipment, lighting, heating and cooling systems. First phase of work, for an amount of approximately 650,000 euros, completed last March. And here comes the usual instrumental and imaginative accusations from political opponents who, apparently, have not even wasted time to consult the municipal documents – which are public – and to find out about the complexity of this important project. Our political opponents, in fact, muddy the work and plans of the outgoing municipal administration, publicly stating that the gym would not have toilets and changing rooms, structures that will instead be built with the second part of the works already contracted to the Paola Francesco company. of Pieve Porto Morone, which will start the construction site in the next few days to complete the works by November 2022. The third and final batch of works, concerning the reorganization of the external area thanks to the participation in the Sport and Periphery Call (100,000 euros), will be completed by 2023. Who in these five years sat in the City Council and today supports the candidate De Micheli and the candidate Sidoli, should know the reality of the facts having been promptly informed, during the Council sessions, also with the support of detailed documents. Distort the truth about a project that has enriched the school and sports facilities of our area – and that
has allowed the Carpaneto Associations to regularly train in
these months in which the other private plant used in the past has been closed – means acting in bad faith. It was our moral obligation to bring the truth to light ”.
