Cittadinanzattiva, with the sliding of tariffs more gap between the regions – Healthcare

“As highlighted in the report of the State Accounting Office regarding the request for an extension to the entry into force of the Tariff Decree, the postponement to January 1, 2025 will lead to a consolidation of regional inequalities in access to care for citizens and risks further increasing mobility healthcare towards the regions that provide additional services”. This was stated to ANSA by Anna Lisa Mandorino, general secretary of Cittadinanzattiva, regarding the postponement of the entry into force of the Tariff Decree and with it the Lea of 2017 to January 1, 2025.
Furthermore, Mandorino underlines how the State Accounting report certifies that “until 12/31/2023 the amount of funding provided for by law pre-arranged for the update of the specialist and prosthetic tariffs linked to the Prime Ministerial Decree of 01/12/2017 have been equal to 3.046 billion euros, to which are added 400 million euros for new updates of the LEAs following that of 2017 for a total resources equal to 3.446 billion euros. These funds, assigned to the regions, in the absence of implementing measures were however used by the regions to cover other health expenditure needs and above all – he states – inefficiencies or imbalances in their health services”. Precisely on the use of these funds, he highlights, “we ask the Regions to clarify”. Among the services that the new extension makes uncollectable, explains Mandorino, “there will for example be medically assisted procreation services, the diagnosis and monitoring of celiac disease, neonatal screening for certain pathologies, IT and communication aids for disabled people, advanced for motor disabilities. And in particular the citizens of our country will continue to not have access to the most innovative services, such as alternative and augmentative communication tools and software for people with serious disabilities and devices for pointing with the gaze; fixed and stairlift trolleys for indoor environments; prostheses using innovative technologies; in the diagnostic and specialist field, for example hadrontherapy for tumors, tests for the diagnosis of celiac disease, some genetics services, disposable video capsules for the diagnosis of intestinal pathologies remain unguaranteed “.
