Nearly two-thirds of the world‘s population have received at least one dose of the Covid vaccine, but only 16% of those living in low-income countries have had an injection. And 166 nations have not yet reached 70% of immunized people, the target the world had set itself by the middle of this year.
The good news is that the supply of vaccines is finally no longer a problem, not even for poor countries, which thanks to Covax (the WHO global program for fair access to immunization), have already received 1.5 billions of doses.
