We inform you that the network of national focal points (National Focal Points – NFP) of the EU4Health Program (NFP4Health) and the network of national contact points (National Contact Points – NCP) of the Horizon Health Program (HNN3.0) have developed a factsheet joint information on healthcare funding in the two Programmes.
Under the current European Union Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF 2021 – 2027), actions related to improving health and well-being in the EU are supported by multiple funding, covering different actions and work activities in synergy between They.
Among them, the main one is Horizon Europe (2021-2027), as well as EU4Health (2021-207).
In Horizon Europe, the current ninth EU research and innovation programme, health funding is provided on the one hand under Cluster 1, Health (one of the 6 thematic clusters) of the program and on the other hand under the Cancer Mission (one of the 5 thematic missions supported by Horizon Europe).
EU4Health is the fourth action program of the European Union in the field of health and, with a budget of 5.1 billion euros, it is the largest program ever implemented by the EU in the health sector in terms of financial resources and the main financing instrument for Union initiatives in the field of health, according to four macro “lines of activity”:
