Cardio-renal diseases are a leading cause of disability and death both in Italy and globally. These diseases, which affect the heart, blood vessels, and kidneys, are often linked to age and unhealthy lifestyle habits. By identifying and addressing modifiable risk factors such as smoking, alcohol consumption, poor diet, and lack of physical activity, individuals can reduce their likelihood of developing cardio-renal diseases.

The directors of Nephrology and Cardiology at Borgomanero hospital emphasized the importance of prevention in addressing these diseases. By promoting health campaigns and offering free screenings, the hospital aims to raise awareness among the population and encourage healthy lifestyle choices.
