Carolyn Smith tells how he is coping
fight against cancer
at the breast, a battle that has recently become more complicated. “I’m always positive in everything I do but 2023 was very hard”, confides the former English dancer. Since she was diagnosed with the condition nine years ago, Smith has undergone several rounds of it
chemotherapy, the last one however turned out to be the “most toxic”. “I have to do it every three weeks to keep the tumor at bay and this will be my life until research finds something else,” he says.

In the living room of the Canale 5 talk show, Carolyn Smith talks about
resistence in therapies to fight cancer even if every now and then “there are complications”. “I undertook a
new oncological path and after five appointments they started giving me injections to protect my bone marrow. With the first puncture I was knocked out for ten days, now I’m trying to reduce the discomfort to 2-3 days”, says the dance teacher.
