Compared with the previous generation of macOS Monterey, “Ventura” focuses more on the linkage between Apple products and products, thereby improving the continuous operation experience of Apple’s main products such as iPhone and Mac systems, including: “Before the scene management” , “camera connection and interoperability” and FaceTime added “take over” function, etc.
On Screen Manager automatically organizes open apps and windows so users can focus on their work while keeping everything clear. The window the user is using will be prominently displayed in the center, and the remaining open windows will be placed on the left, allowing users to switch between tasks easily and quickly. FaceTime introduces a “handover” feature that allows users to start a FaceTime call on one Apple device and then smoothly switch to another nearby Apple device. When you’re on a FaceTime call on your iPhone or iPad, you can switch to your Mac to continue the call with a single tap, or start a call on your Mac and easily transfer the call to your iPhone or iPad when you’re on the go.

Elsewhere, every major app built into macOS has been updated. Including Safari allows multiple users to co-browse: With shared tab groups, friends, family and colleagues can share their favorite websites in Safari and see what tabs others are viewing in real time. The search function of the Mail app has ushered in the biggest improvement in years. Users can also schedule email delivery and even cancel emails that have already been delivered. In addition, the Mail app can also detect missing items such as attachments, copy recipients, and more. The Messages app for Mac now includes more features, including editing or recalling recently sent messages, marking messages as unread, and even restoring accidentally deleted messages. If you choose to collaborate together, everyone in the message thread will automatically join. If someone modifies a shared profile, activity updates will appear at the top of the thread. The newly added “iCloud Shared Library” can create and share an independent photo library with up to six family members, allowing everyone to enjoy all family photos together. Users can choose to share all existing photos from their personal library, or share based on start date or people they’ve met. Each user of the Shared Gallery can add, delete, and edit shared photos and videos, or add photos and videos as favorites, which will appear in each user’s Memories and Featured Photos.
As for gaming, Metal 3, the latest version of the software that drives the gaming experience on Apple platforms, has added new features that take the Mac gaming experience to the next level. All new Macs can now easily play AAA games, including EA’s GRID Legends and Capcom’s Resident Evil Village. At the same time, because the iPad also uses Apple’s own processors, game developers can bring their AAA games to more users, such as Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky, which will be released on Mac and iPad this year.
The developer beta of macOS Ventura is available to Apple Developer Program members today at developer.apple.com, while the Public beta will be available to Mac users next month at beta.apple.com.
