NVIDIA Announces Latest News: New Studio Laptops, Omniverse Update, and More, Driver Support Coming in May

In this year’s COMPUTEX 2022 online keynote speech, NVIDIA not only mentioned that it will provide more games to support ray tracing and DLSS, but also fully demonstrated the future of content creation. The NVIDIA Studio platform will continue to expand, including the addition of new Studio laptops and artificial intelligence (AI) applications powered by RTX technology, all supported by today’s release of the May Studio driver.

NVIDIA Studio is driving the AI revolution in content creation, giving creators time-saving tools to bring concepts to life faster. Supports multiple AI software updates in the latest drivers. It is worth mentioning that NVIDIAIn the NVIDIA StudioExplore three new features of Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 18 in more depth that make what was a complex task easy with the simple push of a few buttons.

Showcase new hardware

Created for creators from ASUS, Lenovo, Acer and HP join the NVIDIA Studio lineup of laptops. Powered by up to a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti or NVIDIA RTX A5500 GPU, these new laptops can handle 3D rendering and AI applications with unprecedented performance:

Ÿ ASUS Zenbook Pro 14 Duo, Pro 16X OLED and Pro 17, and Vivobook Pro 14X, 15X and 16X

Ÿ   Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Pro X 和 Yoga Slim 7 Pro X

Ÿ Acer ConceptD 5 and ConceptD 5 Pro

Ÿ HP ZBook Studio G9 和 HP Envy 16

↑ ASUS Vivobook 16X is equipped with a 16-inch NanoEdge 4K OLED display and exclusive ASUS DialPad, allowing users to precisely control creative tools in a more intuitive way, a world-first feature on a laptop that will help creators inspire creativity.

It’s not magic, it’sIn the NVIDIA Studio

In addition to showcasing new hardware, NVIDIA unveiled this week’s “In The NVIDIA Studio” article dives into three new features and explains how to easily edit video in Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 18 software using RTX GPUs.

DaVinci Resolve is the only application that combines editing, color grading, visual effects (VFX), and audio post-production in one application, making it easier than ever to do with just a few buttons. Key features for easy movie editing in DaVinci Resolve 18 software with RTX GPUs include:

Ÿ Automatic Depth Map FeaturesUse AI to instantly generate 3D deep, dark-toned scenes, quickly distinguishing foreground and background for color grading, and making it easy for creators to add creative effects and color correction to footage.

Ÿ Object Mask Tracking functionLeverage AI and the Neural Engine to recognize and track the movement of thousands of individual objects, including animals, cars, people and food, without the need for manual rotoscoping.

Ÿ Surface Tracking functionUsing CUDA cores on RTX GPUs, creators can add static or animated graphics to any dynamic or perspective-changing object.

NVIDIA Omniverse evolution

Creators around the world use Omniverse as a hub for interconnected 3D workflows. NVIDIA announced new features for Omniverse at COMPUTEX this year to help creators and technical artists create faster and easier, including:

  • Omniverse Cloud (Beta), a cloud-based service that enables 3D designers, artists, and developers around the world to easily collaborate from anywhere, is now available as an in-app early access to Omniverse Cloud Simple Share.
  • Coming soon, the updated Omniverse Audio2Face includes full facial animation controls powered by AI and the ability to generate vivid facial expressions with just a single sound file.
  • The Omniverse XR app (beta) is the world’s first app to render full photorealistic graphics with full ray traced VR technology, allowing modelers to see every reflection, soft shadows and unlimited lighting effects.
  • Omniverse Machinima adds a completely overhauled sequencer, animation and rendering capabilities so 3D artists can easily create animated short films.

↑ NVIDIA unveils beta versions of Omniverse Cloud and Omniverse XR, as well as updated projects for Audio2Face and Machinima.

↑ Audio2Face: Leverages NVIDIA’s deep learning AI technology to quickly and easily generate expressive facial animations from just one source of sound.
