**National Project Launches to Create Unconventional Sports Spaces in Schools**

Today marks the official start of the national project aimed at setting up unconventional spaces for physical and sporting activities in primary and lower secondary schools. The project, titled “Setting up unconventional spaces for physical and sporting activities in schools,” is targeted towards schools without internal gyms or with gyms that are completely unusable.

The initiative, promoted by the Minister for Sport and Youth in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Merit, aims to create innovative and economically sustainable solutions to facilitate physical activity in schools. The project will provide schools with multi-sports equipment and materials to ensure safe and effective physical education.

To participate in the project, schools must meet the following requirements: absence of an internal school gym or a demonstration of the total unusability of existing gym facilities, availability of internal or external spaces suitable for the installation, and a minimum surface area of 50 m2 up to a maximum of 700 m2.

Nominations for the project can be submitted from April 16th to May 30th through the reserved area of the website. This initiative is a step towards promoting physical activity and creating a conducive environment for students to engage in sports activities within the school premises.
