Promoting Healthy Eating Habits: Ausolan and Florette Encourage Vegetable Consumption Among Students

Ausolan and Florette Join Forces to Promote Healthy Eating Habits Among Students

The catering company Ausolan, in collaboration with Florette, a leading producer of ready-to-eat salads, have launched an initiative aimed at over 5,000 Navarrese and Basque students between the ages of 3 and 12. The goal of this partnership is to encourage greater consumption of vegetables among school children.

The project, known as the Ausolan Educational Project, is being implemented in school cafeterias and aims to promote a healthy lifestyle by educating students about the benefits of vegetables and their positive impact on emotional well-being. According to the Ausolan Educational Project team, the initiative focuses on teaching students to follow a menu with five “es” every day: Healthy, Safe, Sustainable, Tasty, and of course, filled with vegetables and fruits.

The initiative, titled “Vegetables in Tune with Emotions,” will run until June 14th and will visit 44 schools, offering age-appropriate activities and workshops to teach students about the nutritional value of fruits and vegetables. The program also includes a “Festival Verdu – Baile” workshop, where students will engage in physical exercise through dance while learning about healthy eating habits.

One of the highlights of the workshop is the creation of the “dancing sandwich,” a nutritious and varied salad that emphasizes the importance of consuming 5 servings of fruits and vegetables each day. These activities, held during free time in the school cafeteria, aim to instill healthy habits and attitudes towards food, hygiene, physical activity, and social relationships among students.

Through this collaborative effort, Ausolan and Florette are working together to promote a healthier lifestyle and diet among school children, ultimately encouraging them to make healthier choices and adopt lifelong habits that contribute to their overall well-being.
