New Initiative to Improve Physical Education in Schools
A new initiative aimed at improving physical education in primary and secondary schools has been launched by the Minister for Sport and Youth. The initiative, titled “Setting up of unconventional spaces for physical and sporting activities in schools”, is a collaborative effort between the Department for Sport, Sport e Salute SpA, the Ministry of Education and Merit.
The project is targeted at schools without an internal gym, both state and private, and allows them to propose suitable internal or external spaces for the installation of sports equipment. The schools must inform the relevant authorities of their application and the proposed installation, which will be carried out if funding is granted.
The platform for submitting school applications will be open from 16 April to 30 May. Schools interested in participating can contact the dedicated email address [email protected] for more information.
This initiative aims to provide better access to physical activities for students and promote a healthier, more active lifestyle among the youth. It is a step towards ensuring that all schools have the necessary resources to support their students’ physical well-being.
