Yesterday afternoon in Palermo hearing of the mayor Corrado Figura and the president of the city council Pietro Rosa on the Trigona question. A proposal has been presented to give new impetus to the Trigona also in view of the incoming PNRR funds. Proposal which, as explained by the mayor, provides for the maintenance of the public departments currently active, strengthening the presence with some accredited specialized medicine and surgery departments and opening the already planned Geriatrics, Long-term care and rehabilitation departments. To this we must then add the strengthening of the PTA and the increase of the emergency room hours from 12 to 24 hours.
In the proposal presented, also the strengthening of the PTA, with the opening of new clinics in neurology, rheumatology, endocrinology, ENT and laryngology. Also required is the hourly increase in services, the adaptation of the organic plant and the purchase of the necessary sanitary equipment which to date would be missing.
“The councilor Razza – says Figure – and the deputies present showed great availability and openness to our proposal, proposing technical and administrative solutions for the realization of this new project. The construction of the hospital and the community house was then confirmed. The proposal, any precautions and other possible aspects will be discussed in a special municipal council that the president Pietro Rosa is ready to convene as early as next week, with a good chance that it will be a session open to the whole community “.
Also satisfied with the meeting and its outcome was the regional deputy Daniela Ternullo, the one who wanted the Trigona topic to be centered on the committee. “It’s clear – said the regional deputy Ternullo – that by proposing the opening of medicine and surgery, of long-term care or of the rehabilitation department, it is clear that we are also asking for the expansion of the organic plant and of the equipment necessary to guarantee more efficient standards. I am comforted by the appreciation of the Assessor Razza and of the deputation present today in the Commission. I believe that the proposal is sensible and strategic, for a territory that is currently critical from a health point of view. For the Trigona di Noto we have clear ideas. We are only at the beginning ”.
