This document deals with the indictment of an FBI informant, Alexander Smirnov, for false testimony against US President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden.

The document states that Smirnov reported several of these contacts to his FBI handler, and prosecutors believe that the defendant should remain in preventive detention while the case is processed.
The false testimony from Smirnov, who is now accused of fabricating false evidence, has been used by Republicans to attack the Bidens and even served as justification to open an investigation against President Biden. The document included his statement, alleging that Joe and Hunter Biden had received bribes from a Ukrainian company, Burisma.

Despite the prosecution’s requests for preventive detention, Judge Daniel Albregts has allowed Smirnov to be released under electronic surveillance with a GPS device. As Smirnov left the court, he covered his face to avoid being recognized.
