Iran accuses Israel of responsibility for the attack on gas pipelines – Al-Ghad Channel

Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that Iranian Oil Minister Javad Ochi accused Israel on Wednesday of being responsible for an attack on gas pipelines last week.

Two explosions targeted the main gas pipeline network between the south and the north in Iran on February 14, and Oji described the attack at the time as a “terrorist act of sabotage,” and did not point the finger of blame at any party.

A report by the American newspaper The New York Times had previously indicated that Israel carried out secret attacks on two main natural gas pipelines inside Iran, which led to the disruption of the flow of cooking and heating gas to provinces inhabited by millions.

Iranian media reported an official denial of what was stated in press reports that the accident caused a gas outage in industrial and administrative facilities in some provinces.

In previous statements, the Iranian Oil Minister referred to a similar incident that occurred on February 11, 2011, which he said was an act of sabotage that led to a temporary gas outage in four different regions.
