Today, Wednesday, a police officer breathed his last after being run over by a truck transporting sand at the level of the judicial dam at the entrance to Al-Ain Center in the Yusufiya Province.

Hespress sources explained that the deceased was in the process of checking the papers of a private car at the control point in the judicial dam at the entrance to the Ras Al-Ain Center, but the truck that was traveling at an insane speed surprised him and collided with the utility vehicle, killing him.

Following this painful incident, the governor of the Yusufiya province, a regional squad of the Royal Gendarmerie, a representative of the Public Prosecution, the local authority, and civil prevention personnel moved to the scene of the fatal accident, who transported the body, some of whose parts had turned into scattered body parts, to the mortuary.

Members of the Royal Gendarmerie at the Ras Al-Ain territorial center opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, and launched a campaign to arrest the truck driver, who fled, in order to be able to arrest him not far from the accident site.
