Aprilia inaugurates its season: “We need a plan to attract private individuals”

Region and Municipality agree: necessary measures to encourage investments. Half a million has been allocated to improve infrastructure for the summer

LATISANA. The blessing of Don Angelo Fabris sealed the inaugural ceremony of the tourist season in Aprilia Marittima yesterday afternoon.

The Latisanese tourist resort has a strong nautical vocation, so as to lead the deputy mayor Ezio Simonin to affirm that “it will be a season with the wind in the sails”, considering the bora that has ruined everything and everyone. And it was Simonin who greeted the audience.

The Precenicco band accompanied the event and the raising of the flag. Many guests, who did not want to miss this ceremony. There were the regional councilor Pierpaolo Roberti, the regional councilors Mauro Di Bert, Mauro Bordin, Maddalena Spagnolo and Mariagrazia Santoro and a large representation of Lignano, with Emanuele Rodeano, president of Lisagest, Giorgio Ardito of Società Lignano Pineta, the councilor Paolo Ciubej, the former councilor Massimo Brini and the candidate Laura Giorgi.

Simonin underlined the investment of 500 thousand euros for Aprilia Marittima, the various initiatives planned for the relaunch of the tourist activity and also a plan for new openings, looking for private individuals willing to bet on the area.

Mayor Lanfranco Sette confirmed that what has been done so far constitutes “only the first approach to the restructuring promised on the occasion of Nautilia, a few days after its election”.

Not only that: he explained that the recent opening of a Revenue Agency counter in Latisana was also made necessary by the documents still required for nautical contracts.

The mayor recalled Luciano Mazza, who recently passed away, who was one of the points of reference for Aprilia operators.

The regional councilor Pierpaolo Roberti remarked that after complex years, we are now looking at the relaunch: «We need a commitment from the private sector, but the public must accompany him. The Region will continue to guarantee resources so that local authorities implement preparatory interventions to create an attractive environment for investments by private operators ».

And he mentioned the issue of dredging, explaining how “at the national level, the legislation blocks resources”.

On this point, the stab of Mariagrazia Santoro, regional councilor of the Democratic Party: through a note, she stated that “the usual empty promises for the expected dredging works and for the operators, to whom all our solidarity and commitment go, have come from the center-right , unfortunately, there remains only another black season ».

At the end of the ceremony, the special councilor of Aprilia, Susi Faggiani, opened the moment for the awards, which were given to Orietta Taglialegne, Enzo Montico, Giuseppe Tito and Maurizio Morsanutto.
