In a joint operation between the Magdalena Infantry Battalion No. 27 and the Carabineros Squadron of the National Police, they carried out an important seizure of marijuana that was being transported ingeniously in the Huila.
The action took place in the El Cedro de Pitalito villagedepartment of Huila, where the armed forces thwarted the plans of drug trafficking gangs.
He stash, coming from the department of Cauca and bound for Putumayo, it was found camouflaged in concrete blocks. The drug traffickers had distributed 434 packages of marijuanawhich were then covered with cement to appear to be simple concrete plates.

In total, it was achieved seize a total of 534 kilograms of marijuana, whose value in the illegal market would reach approximately 800 million Colombian pesos. This amount of drug could have been converted into around 267,000 doses and, when marketed, would have tripled its value.
The operation also led to the flagrante delicto of the vehicle driver in which the drugs were transported, who will face charges of trafficking, manufacturing and possession of narcotics. In addition, the truck used for transportation was seized as part of the action.
This result not only represents a blow to drug trafficking in the region, but also contributes significantly to public safety and health protection, particularly that of young people and children. The authorities expressed their gratitude for the support provided in this operation against organized crime.
