Dispute-casino: gray smoke, yesterday, after the meeting between the leaders of the Matuzian company and the trade unionists of Slc-Cgil, Fisascat-Cisl, Uilcom Uil and Snalc-Cisal, on strike for 14 days. There was talk of the possibility of lifting the strike, but no details were given. The meeting has been postponed to next week. In the meantime, the unions will organize assemblies. Possible bright spots on the horizon: the goal is an agreement in the face of corrective hypotheses. The positions, considered too rigid by both parties, may come closer until the reopening of the “worked” gambling halls, closed since Saturday 30 October.
The negotiation is therefore underway, after the parties had presented themselves firmly on their positions: the Board of Directors with the new plan that cancels the game of French roulette from midweek afternoons and the spokespersons of the “triple” plus Snalc-Cisal decided to bring back this measure that they consider penalizing for their business, for the identity of the gambling house and, consequently, for the economy of the city.
Marilena Semeria (CISL) comments: “The meeting ended with an opening on both sides and with the idea of finding an agreement to reopen the French tables and consequently tomorrow we will bring the proposals that emerged to the workers’ assembly and we will verify if there are the conditions to return from the strike ».
A first meeting, in the very private room of the casino, took place on Tuesday: the Board of Directors led by President Adriano Battistotti confronted the Ugl Terziario, who had already unmarked himself from the trade union union and had decided to return regularly to work at the green tables ( still closed). «It was a positive meeting. We are all happy », the secretary Massimiliano Moroni commented at the end of the discussion.
The premises for yesterday’s appointment were heavier: the board of directors of the gambling house had in fact summoned the other unions, still fighting. A river encounter in the casino’s very private room with the will to break out of the impasse.
About eighty dealers, except for a few UGL members, therefore continue to cross their arms. Cgil, Cisl, Uil and Snalc have asked for a comparison, as well as with the mayor, also with the junta and the council group leaders. So far only the Democratic Party has joined, but the Prime Minister, Alessandro Il Grande, has made it known that the meeting was “the result of a misunderstanding. It had been agreed that this confrontation would take place in the presence of all the council groups, immediately after the one between the unions themselves and the casino’s board of directors ”. –
