Colle Umberto, “Bonnie and Clyde” try to steal ten bottles of spirits: blocked

The couple, entered a supermarket, tried to escape with the unusual booty hidden under their clothes, but made the anti-shoplifting staff suspicious.

COLLE UMBERTO. He, 38, and she, 35, had planned the theft down to the smallest detail. Armed with wire cutters, they had managed to remove the anti-theft plaques from a dozen bottles of fine spirits.

As they passed the store exit, however, their gait seemed a little too awkward to the vigilantes, who decided to proceed with the inspection, discovering bottles hidden under their clothes for a value of 400 euros.

The anti-theft personnel blocked the two until the arrival of the carabinieri, who triggered the complaint for attempted aggravated theft against the couple.
