Conegliano, on July 17th the Holirun arrives to color the city

The race of colors will unfold along seven kilometers between Campolongo and the center. Colorful splashes for everyone and then a party at the stadium

CONEGLIANO. The “Holirun”, the race of colors, chooses Conegliano for the restart. The event will take place on Sunday 17 July, with the start set at 7 pm from Viale dello Sport. Departure and arrival will be from the rugby stadium, where the “third half” will also take place, with music, shows and truck food. It will also be possible to take your dog for a walk along the route that will develop for the most part on the banks of the Monticano, between Campolongo and the city center.

Free participation for children under 13, obviously accompanied by at least one parent. For the first 500 members, the cost was set at 15 euros, including the race kit, with colors to spray and other gadgets. The route will develop along seven kilometers, two points where you will be “hit” by the jet of colors. At the end, in the Conegliano rugby field, from 9 pm, the party evening with street food and music. Yesterday the appointment was announced in the town hall and sees the support of the municipal administration. “We hope to bring many children and families for a day of joy,” said Mayor Fabio Chies, present together with the councilor for events, Claudia Brugioni. The event sees the collaboration of Running team Conegliano and Eventi Futura. “Everything will take place safely, the colors are natural, and it will also be possible to bring your own dog, a special area will be dedicated on arrival for four-legged friends”, explained the organization.

“Holi” is a religious festival of the Indian tradition, which symbolizes rebirth, in which we cover ourselves with colors as a sign of good luck. The name was taken from that ancient tradition, in a playful way and for being together. «Holi means rebirth – recalled Andrea Vidotti, a well-known sports manager who organizes various events -. We wanted to think above all of the boys, who have been closed for two years, an opportunity for healthy fun ». Two other appointments have also been set with Holirun, on July 24 in Bresciano and on July 31 in Majano (Udine). Possible appointment also in Treviso, but there is no date yet.
