There are 23,649 coronavirus test positives in Italy in the last 24 hours (against 22,673 yesterday, a revised figure from 23,904), according to data from the Ministry of Health. Instead, there are 501 victims in one day (yesterday 467). The number of victims therefore remains high.

Some glimmers can be seen on the front of hospitalizations, which fell by 231 units in one day to 28,949, and intensive care (-29 to 3,681, the third consecutive day of decline). The admissions to resuscitation were 244 in the last 24 hours (from 283). The pressure on hospitals, while remaining very high, is starting to show signs of decline.

There are 356,085 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy, according to the ministry’s data. There were 351,221 tests yesterday. The positivity rate is 6.6%, down 0.2% from yesterday when it was 6.8%.

At the regional level, in Tuscany there are 1,631 coronavirus positives more than yesterday (1,579 confirmed with molecular swab and 52 from rapid antigen test). Since the beginning of the epidemic in Tuscany, 197,005 cases of coronavirus are positive. New cases are 0.8% more than the previous day’s total. The average age of the 1,631 new positives today is approximately 45 years (17% are under the age of 20, 22% between 20 and 39, 35% between 40 and 59, 19% between 60 and 79 years , 7% are 80 or older).
