The governor: “The transition to the orange zone would be dramatic for the economy, it is something we cannot and must not allow”

UDINE. “We cannot charge the price of any new closures to the vaccinated, who have defended themselves and others by participating in the vaccination campaign.” The president of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga, said this today in Udine, commenting on the situation of the pandemic in the region.

«We are one step away from the yellow zone and this is given by the number of hospitalizations also in the medical area, very close to 15%. The Fvg will go into the yellow zone, but fortunately this still requires very limited measures. However, the transition to the orange zone would be dramatic for the economy, it is something we cannot and must not allow ”.

“So it is clear – Fedriga added – that the invitation I continue to do is to get vaccinated, if you have not yet done so, and to take the third dose after six months”. The governor then reiterated that “those who have followed the rules are very different from those who, on the other hand, carry fake news around, do not want to participate in the vaccination campaign, tell lies about the vaccine“.

According to Fedriga, “scientific data now demonstrate its effectiveness, as it protects us and the hospitals that otherwise risk becoming overcrowded”
