Our country, since January 9, has been experiencing moments of drama never seen before, since I can remember. All of this is caused by criminal gangs that have spread terror in several cities, managing to implant a culture of violence in the streets, in this way they intend to intimidate not only ordinary citizens, but the state as a whole.
But in an unprecedented event in the history of Ecuador and after the takeover of the facilities of a television channel by a criminal group armed to the teeth, President Daniel Noboa by decree declared a state of internal commotion throughout the country. national territory, citing in the same decree several gangs linked to drug trafficking and other crimes, categorizing them as terrorists and turning them into military objectives. This decisive action by our president deserves all the citizen support, it was time to turn the page on the recurring curfews that were so fashionable in the previous government and that in the long run demonstrated their ineffectiveness, now more direct actions against them have been added. organized crime, which will weaken the structures of these gangs, but will not annihilate them completely, we must be very clear about that, because to achieve their total eradication a long and sustained process is needed, allocating enormous resources to the fight against these powerful organizations.
For the moment, we must maintain a brave attitude and full support for the law enforcement forces deployed in cities throughout the country, who take care of our safety and that of our property. It is important not to fall into what the rogues want, which is to have us held captive in our own homes, prey to the terror that they want to install in the daily routine of the population. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t take any precautions when going out, it would be absurd to do so, what I’m saying is that let’s try to do what we usually do as much as possible, without neglecting personal safety at all. Otherwise, it would be giving them like the crooks and let them take control of even the simplest actions in our lives.
We have enough that these mafias have permeated all the powers of the state, we are fed up with so much vandalism corroding the moral structures of our society, we must take advantage of these moments of unity that the country is experiencing to project ourselves into a future of more affinities and fewer differences , stripping away anything that divides us, fortifying the things that unite us
Today our land is a common cause, it needs us to free it from so much human scourge with the desire to take over everything that we have always fought to enjoy and enjoy in peace and freedom. If we give in out of fear, they win.
