Reynders: ‘We discussed it at the College of Commissioners’
(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, JULY 20 – “Commissioner Breton will ask the services of dg Connect to work” on the story of the spying of journalists with the Pegasus software. This was announced by the EU Justice Commissioner, Didier Reynders, who, urged by questions about the rumor of a Brussels investigation into the matter, explained that the issue was dealt with by the college of commissioners. “We are starting to gather information to understand what the possible use of the application is. But we will use multiple sources, from judicial ones to data protection authorities, to verify the robustness of the information. If true, it would be unacceptable.” (HANDLE).
