Farewell to Falco Accame, he was 96 years old

Falco Accame died. Born in Florence on April 17, 1925, he died today in Rome at the age of 96. Falco Accame was senior naval officer and commander of the destroyer Indomito until July 1975. Elected to the Chamber of Deputies first in 1976 and then in 1979 from the ranks of the Italian Socialist Party. He was President and Vice-President of the Defense Commission as well as a member of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into military orders. He presented several reforms of the law on secret services and on draft. He held the position of councilor for the Liguria Region and the Municipality of Rome and was National Councilor of Legambiente. As President of the N. Pasti International Peace Foundation, he represented in Italy the “R. Clark Tribunal for NATO War Crimes in the former Yugoslavia. President of Ana-Vafaf, an association that protects the families of soldiers who died in peace: with this association he has dealt, among other things, with the consequences that the use of weapons containing depleted uranium has caused on Italian soldiers in the missions in Lebanon, Iraq, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Somalia and Kosovo. Initiatives for Truth and Justice – CIVG, he also held the position of vice president of the Seagull committee for safety at sea and member of the Committee for the defense and revitalization of the Constitution.
