Fauci’s Email: The virus was noticed or leaked from the laboratory in January last year | CCP Virus | Epoch Times

by admin

[Epoch Times News on June 5, 2021](English Epoch Times authors Jeff Carlson and Hans Mahncke / Compiled by Xu Zhining) Anthony Fauci is an American immunologist and currently works at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases ( NIAID), a member of the CCP virus team of the White House, and the president’s chief medical adviser.

Recently, the Washington Post, Buzzfeed, and CNN have obtained more than 3,000 pages of private e-mails from Fauci through the Freedom of Information Act of the United States. The mailing period is from January to June 2020.

Through the emails between Fauci and related personnel, it is shown that Fauci is aware of the public statement of the director of the Wuhan laboratory about the US funds being used for the coronavirus research there, and that the public discussion about the possible leak of the virus from the laboratory was used by the social media platform. , Health officials and the World Health Organization (WHO) deliberately suppressed it.

January 31, 2020

Fauci received an email (page 3,229) from his assistant, Greg Folkers, the head of the office at 8:43 pm on January 31, 2020. There was no text in the email, only a lengthy article published in the journal Science that night was attached.

The author of this article is Jon Cohen. This is one of the first articles describing how scientists frantically study the “viral genome” to “understand the origin of 2019-nCoV.”

The author of the article emphasized that the virus originated in the Wuhan seafood market, and painstakingly refuted the laboratory leak theory, pointing out that the virus sequence “completely denies the view that the pathogen comes from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”

However, the author “worries about the research institute earlier than this outbreak (previous experiment)”, and quoted in detail a scientist “in 2015 criticized an experiment, that is, the SARS-like virus spread in Chinese bats was carried out. Modifications to study whether the virus has the possibility of causing human diseases.”

The experiment cited in the “Science” magazine article was published in the “Nature” magazine on November 9, 2015. It is an article detailing the “gain-of-function” (gain-of-function, also translated as “gain-of-function”) experiment. The author of the article includes Shi Zhengli, (Deputy) Director of Wuhan (P4) Laboratory. The Wuhan laboratory deliberately made the virus into a more toxic “chimeric virus” and used mice for experiments. And their research began before the US government suspended the “functional enhancement” research.

The authors also added that their article “has been reviewed by the funding agency,” and, critically, “requested to continue these studies and has been approved by the NIH.” “This research manuscript has been approved by the US National Funded by the Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID)”, and Fauci is the director of NIAID, which is affiliated with the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

After receiving an email from an NIH colleague (page 3,229), Fauci forwarded the article on Science to NIH’s John Mascola (page 3,229) at 9:47 p.m. Also note “This is an article by Jon Cohen.”

Two minutes later (page 3,187), Fauci forwarded the article to Jeremy Farrar, the head of a non-profit organization in the UK, and Christian, a professor at Scripps Research. · Anderson (Kristian Andersen), tell them: “This is just published today. You may have already read it. If not, this is very interesting for the current discussion.”

Why Fauci chose to contact Farrar and Anderson, neither of them work for Fauci or NIH, the reason is not yet clear. But in the next few days, they all became the main force in the effort to eliminate the laboratory leak theory. In March 2020, Anderson co-authored the highly influential article “The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2”, which was widely cited as evidence of its natural origin. Anderson and his co-authors received funding from the NIH and Farrer organizations.

At 9:49 pm, Fauci emailed this article to Robert Kadlec (page 3,222), who is the assistant for preparedness and response in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Secretary (Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response), told him: “Bob: This is just published today. Give a balanced view. Sincerely, Tony.”

At 10:32 that night (page 3,187), Fauci received an email response from Anderson. Anderson admitted to receiving this article and stated his observations.According to Anderson, “The unusual features of the virus make up a small part of the genome (<0.1%), so you must look at all sequences very carefully to see that certain features (may) appear to be modified.”

However, earlier in the day, Anderson tweeted against the theory that the Republican Senator Tom Cotton may have the virus originated from the Wuhan laboratory. The tweet said: “These analyses are completely flawed and wrong and can be safely ignored.”

The next morning, at 7:29 on February 1, 2020 (page 3, 221), Fauci sent the detailed article in the 2015 Nature magazine to Hugh Auchincloss, the Chief Deputy Director of NIAID. An article that introduces the “enhancement of function” experiment and is funded by NIH. He used strong language and said: “We have to talk in the morning. Keep the cell phone open.” Fauci instructed Okinclos to “read this article and the email I forward to you now.” He wrote, “You today There will be tasks that must be completed.”

Cohen indirectly cited an article in the journal Nature in his recently published article. Thirty-five seconds later (page 3,215), Fauci forwarded the article in the “Science” magazine that had been forwarded to him the night before, and forwarded it to Aujin Clos.

In 2014, Fauci’s NIAID provided $3.7 million in research funding to the EcoHealth Alliance. The alliance is headquartered in New York and is led by Peter Daszak. Francis Collins of NIH stated that as part of the “ecological health subcontract”, some research funding was “given to Wuhan.”

In view of the inherent risks of “functional enhancement” research, the Obama administration suspended the “functional enhancement” research in 2014. The 2015 study in an article that Fauci forwarded to Aujin Clos is likely to have been subject to this ban.

At 8:19 am (page 3,210), Fauci sent the article in Nature to Lawrence Tabak of NIH and marked the email as “important.” Fauci simply told Tabak, “That’s it.”

About two hours later, at 10:34 am (page 3,197), Farrar sent a group email announcing a conference call at 2 pm. His e-mail pointed out that “the sharing of information and discussions is completely confidential and should not be passed on until the next step is reached.” The e-mail also contains a short agenda, including “introduction, key points and expected results” and “summary and next steps”, etc. project. Including Faral, a total of 13 people are on the list of this conference call.

Soon after the Falal conference call email was sent, Aukinklos replied to Fauci at 11:47 in the morning (page 3,206) with the subject of the email “Continue.” This email chain is different from the email chain used by Fauci when he sent two articles earlier in the day. Aukinkloss wrote: “The article you sent me stated that these experiments were performed before the suspension of’functional gains’, but they have since been reviewed and approved by the NIH. Not sure what this means, because Amy Emily is convinced. No coronavirus work has passed the P3 framework. She will try to determine if we have any long-distance contact with this work abroad.”

The “P3 framework” refers to the HHS P3CO framework, which is the framework of the Ministry of Health and Health Services used to guide the decision on whether to fund research projects involving potential pandemic pathogens, and it also guides the funding decisions of the Ministry of Health and Health Services and NIH. It seems that Aujin Clos is rebutting the argument of Wuhan laboratory researchers that the “functional gain” experiment has been approved.

Fauci replied very simply to Okinclos’ email at 12:51 in the afternoon (page 3,206). Just wrote, “Okay. Stay tuned.”

At 1:13 pm (page 3,197), Farrar sent another email related to the upcoming conference call at 2 pm, “Kristen and Eddie have shared these, and There will be a discussion on the conference call. Thank you. Hope this will help structure the discussion.” Kristian seems to be Kristian Andersen, later known as KA.

As some content is covered, it is not clear what Farrar said by “sharing”.

At 1:34 p.m. (page 3,197), Fauci forwarded Farrar’s email to Tabak, reminding him of the 2 p.m. conference call, simply saying, “For reference only.”

At 1:43 pm (pages 3,172), Marion Koopmans emailed Farrar and copied it to Fauci and the other members on the conference call list. Koppmans is responsible for overseeing a laboratory in the Netherlands that has conducted “enhancement” experiments. The body of his email has been completely covered.

At the same time that Coppmans sent that email (page 3,187), Fauci replied to Anderson’s email. Anderson’s email pointed out that “you must look at all sequences very carefully to see certain features (maybe ) Looks modified.” Fauci simply wrote, “Thank you, Christian. Talk on the phone as soon as possible.”

The conference call ostensibly started at 2:00 pm as planned. At 2:56 pm (pages 3,172), during the conference call, Farrar is believed to have sent an email to 4 of the 13 people on the call (including Fauci) asking: “I can suggest that we hang up Call, then redial? Just 5-10 minutes?”

At 3:03 pm (page 3,172), Fauci simply responded to Farrar’s request directly and simply “Yes.”

At 3:07 pm (page 3,167), Farrar seemed to rejoin the conference call and sent an email with a bit confusing content, “I have rejoined, so a line is open. If you want to help reconnect Join.”

The conference call ends sometime after this, and before the next email (sent at 3:50 pm).

At 3:50 pm, Collins sent an email (page 3,167), seeming to be referring to the head of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus: “Hi, Jeremy, I can talk to Tan 24/7 Desai’s call. Just let me know. Thank you for your leadership on this critical and sensitive issue. Francis.”

Shortly thereafter, Farrar sent an email to the whole group at 3:59 pm (page 3,133), thanking them for their participation. Farrar wrote: “There is clearly a lot to understand about this (note: sic). This conference call is very helpful to hear some of our current understanding and many gaps in our knowledge.”

Then a large part of the content is covered. Farrar finally said: “I hope this is a reasonable approach. Please offer any ideas or suggestions. Thank you again for taking the time during the weekend to have such an insightful discussion on a complex issue. Thank you, and I wish, Jerry Meter.”

February 2, 2020

At 3:30 in the morning (page 3,130), Ron Fouchier sent an email to an unknown recipient, thanking Farrar for his “useful conference call,” and a paragraph titled “Ron Notes” section. There are more than two full pages in the notes section, which are completely covered.

Farrar replied to Fusher saying “Thank you Ron”, followed by a covered paragraph. Farrar’s reply ended with “Thoughts on that are very welcome.”

Farrar then sent an email to Andrew Raumbaut and the other participants in the conference call group at 4:48 in the morning (page 3, 128). Farrar wrote, “This is a very complex issue.” This comment is followed by a covered part, and then Farrar said with “I suggest that we do not have further scientific discussions here, but wait for that group to be established.”

The head of NIH, Collins, then sent Farrar an email at 5:27 in the morning (page 3, 128) and copied it to Fauci and Tabak, stating that he could “talk to Tedros.” He wrote: “Tell me if I can help pass through his layers of protection.”

At 7:13 in the morning (page 3,126), Collins sent an email to Farrar and copied it to Fauci and Tabak, “Thank you very much for our careful consideration of options…” The line after this entry was overwritten.

At 11:28 in the morning (pages 3,125), Farrar emailed Fauci and Collins and sent a copy to Tabak. Farrer shared with others: “Tedros and Bernhard apparently have had a secret meeting… In my opinion, they need to make a decision today. If they do excuse me, I will be very Thank you for calling you later tonight or tomorrow to consider how we can proceed.”

At the end of the email, Farrar cited an article just published by ZeroHedge that the Chinese Communist Party virus may have come from a laboratory. “Zero Hedge” is a far-right liberal financial blog.

On the second day of Farrar’s announcement, “Zero Hedge” was blocked by Twitter.

Although he does not know what WHO Director-General Tedros Tedros was informed or asked about on February 3, 2020, he released the “Director-General’s Report”, which includes a call to “fight against the spread of rumors and misinformation.” Tedros also tweeted.

In his speech, Tan Desai announced: “We are working with Google to ensure that when people search for information about the coronavirus, they are the first to see the search results of WHO information. Social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Tencent and Douyin , Has also taken measures to limit the dissemination of misinformation.”
