FISCIANO – He felt bad and lost his life right in front of that same church that had been his home for years. The efforts of health workers, who failed to save him, were of no use. The community of Fisciano was upset by the news of the sudden death of Don Alfonso Rinaldi, 84, a historical parish priest of the hamlet of Gaiano, who was accused of being ill near the structure of San Martino Vescovo in Gaiano, where he was preparing to take part in a function. In particular, at the church of Gaiano, shortly after yesterday’s lunch hour, preparations for a funeral were underway, with the coffin already arrived and the celebration scheduled for 4.30 pm. In his role as assistant pastor, Don Alfonso was supposed to work alongside the priest Don Gianluca Romano. But unfortunately fate wanted otherwise.
