The program of the senior college at Chemnitz University of Technology in the summer semester of 2024 is online – “Senior Studies” is celebrating its premiere – registration is required for all offers

The large cold storage facility not far from the Georgbrücke is also closely linked to the history of refrigeration technology in Chemnitz. One of its spiritual fathers is Prof. Dr. Thorsten Urbaneck (l.), Head of Thermal Energy Storage at the Professorship of Technical Thermodynamics at Chemnitz University of Technology. Together with Stadtwerke Chemnitz AG (today: eins energie in Sachsen GmbH and Co. KG and inetz GmbH) he designed the huge cold water storage tank, which he also reported on in the seniors’ college.
