The timely reaction of the Police in the Laboyos Valley, after receiving a call to the radio room about the theft of a motorcycle, led to the capture of alias ‘Escandón’, responsible for the criminal act.
The incident took place in Pitalito, Huila, where This individual injured a citizen with a firearm to steal her moped.
According to the authorities, the robbery occurred on the Timaná road, in front of an establishment, where alias ‘Escandón’ approached a 45-year-old woman, whom he attacked with a firearm before fleeing with the motorcycle.

Thanks to the padlock plan activated by the Police, the vehicle was recovered and the criminal was intercepted in the vicinity of the Divino Niño neighborhood.being identified as alias ‘Escandón’.
Colonel William Lara, commander of the Huila Police Department, highlighted the importance of this result, which allows criminals who affect the integrity and assets of citizens to be removed from the streets. Alias ’Escandón’ has been placed at the disposal of the competent authorities to respond to the crimes of qualified and aggravated theft.
It is worth mentioning that in operations over the weekend, 7 motorcycles were recovered, of which 2 have already been returned to their owners. In the fight against local drug trafficking, 3 thousand doses of marijuana and more than 12 thousand doses of coca base and its derivatives were removed from circulation.
