The Best, an award given by the highest body in world football, FIFA, has just announced the three finalist players to win the award. The appearance of the Colombian soccer player Linda Caicedo among those selected, along with the Spanish Aitana Bonmati and Jennifer Hermoso, is striking.
Caicedo has been highlighted in her appearances with the Colombian women’s national team, where just days after turning 19 years old, she has played in three World Cups (U17 World Cup – 2022, U20 World Cup – 2022 and Senior World Cup 2023), in addition to a Copa América in which she was runner-up.
This earned Real Madrid interest in her services and signed her from Deportivo Cali. Today Linda celebrates one year of being in European lands where she has dazzled fans and journalists with her skill, which led her to be chosen among the three best players in the world.
