But disagreements arose within the U.S. government, and in the end FBI agents were only allowed to confiscate Liu Yanping’s mobile phones before the plane took off.

After Liu Yanping returned to China, he lost his position as a member of the 19th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China. He said that it stands to reason that this matter has been dealt with in the past, and now that Liu Yanping has an accident again, it is more likely to be involved in the Sun Lijun case. Liu Yanping belongs to the national security background, but he has a more public security background.
