New peak and plate hours starting next Monday, February 26

Starting next Monday, February 26, the peak and plate will extend its hours from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm throughout the metropolitan area. This was agreed by the mayors of Pereira and Dosquebradas in the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Area.

The director of the Central Western Metropolitan Area, Claudia Cárdenas, explained that “the national roads and numbers will be preserved and respected as they are at this time.” That is, the hours will be extended but the numbers that have been restricted per day will not change.

“The measure begins on February 26 until March 10 in a pedagogical manner,” Cárdenas continues, “and from March 11, pecuniary hearings will be held with the immobilization of the vehicle.”

The roads excluded by the peak and plate are the following: The César Gavirio Trujillo viaduct until the road connection with Carrera 10 and vice versa; Avenida del Ferrocarril and other road sections in charge of the Autopistas del Café road concession, especially the La Romelia sector; the La Romelia – El Pollo variant as it passes through the jurisdiction of the municipality of Dosquebradas; via Pereira – Armenia; Condina variant; via El Tigre – Cerritos; Marseille – Turin and the San Joaquín roundabout intersection – via Alcalá.

For motor vehicles, the restriction regarding the last digit remains as follows:

Wednesday: 4-5
