Peasant families from Cesar received property titles

The National Land Agency – ANT – delivered rural property titles to peasant families from three municipalities of Cesar and to the National Infrastructure Agency – ANI. The beneficiaries were eight families that have their properties in Bosconia, Valledupar and Tamalameque, and they received 10 titles (one of them was given three resolutions), while two were awarded to the ANI for land located in Bosconia and Valledupar, for a total of 12 titles.

Added together, the 12 properties measure 71.3 hectares and are located in Boca de Tigre, Zapatosa, Aguas Blancas and Mariangola, among other villages and townships. The farmers dedicate them mainly to dairy farming and the cultivation of cassava, corn, lemon, watermelon and ahuyama, while the ANI, the ANT awarded two vacant lands for the construction of sections of roads that will benefit the community in general. .

In addition, the ANT has seven other titles ready to give to peasant families from Chiriguaná, El Copey and Valledupar who did not attend the event. These resolutions formalize the rural property of 79.7 hectares. Families can claim the documents at the ANT headquarters in Valledupar, on Calle 16 # 9 – 30, 11th floor, offices 1104, 1106 and 1107, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. , and from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm

Jaime Sánchez, coordinator of the ANT in Cesar, highlighted: “They are peasant families who have been waiting for years for the formalization of their properties. We will continue with the formalization of the land to generate owners, legal security and advance agrarian reform.”

The ANT delivered the resolutions that certify that these women and men are the owners of their homes and lands. Thus, they will be able to continue growing pancoger products, raising their animals with peace of mind and they will be able to apply for credits and development projects.

The Noris brothers, Alba and Alberto de la Hoz are part of the group of beneficiaries of these formalization titles. Since they already have all the documents for their land, they feel calmer. This is how Norris put it.

Alba, 70 years old, has always lived in the Boca de Tigre neighborhood of Bosconia. “Thanks to the president, Gustavo Petro, and the director of the National Land Agency, Felipe Harman, because we now legally have the titles to our lands,” said the lady.
