Police officers from Dnipro will be sent to the Lut brigade – video

The leadership of the National Police decided to disband the special purpose regiment in the Dnipropetrovsk region, and to transfer all special forces to the “Lyut” assault brigade.

VIDEO OF THE DAY

This was announced by the Deputy Head of the National Police Oleksandr Facevych.

Note that on February 4, a video of a police meeting in Dnipro appeared online. On it, the law enforcement officers allegedly refused to be transferred to the “Lyut” assault brigade. The National Police promised to find out all the circumstances and make appropriate decisions.

“The assessment is given regarding the situation in Dnipro. A decision was made to disband the special purpose police regiment of the GUNP in the Dnipropetrovsk region. That is, such a regiment will not exist. We may make other staffing decisions to create separate companies for specific tasks. All employees of the regiment, without exception, will be transferred to the “Lyut” brigade to perform tasks”, Facevych said.

According to him, employees who refuse to be transferred to the assault brigade will be fired and served with a summons.

Also, the deputy head of the National Police added that this is a unique situation when the police perform the task of defending the state as part of the troops.

As a reminder, the Verkhovna Rada extended martial law and mobilization until May 13, 2024.

At the same time, not all units have a full set of personnel at the front. In addition, the military, which has been protecting Ukraine for almost two years, needs rest. But the law on mobilization, which should also prescribe the rotation process, has not yet been adopted. People’s deputies have only just adopted it in the first reading.

At the same time, Defense Minister Rustem Umyerov believes that the first step has been taken to improve the entire process of conscription and military service, which has been long awaited at the front.
