UDINE. Sandro Ippoliti, well known in Udine and in the province, died at the age of sixty for having served for over thirty years in the police, first at the Road and then at the Police Headquarters.

He lived in Lignano where, on the morning of Tuesday 20 July, he was found unconscious. The 118 doctor then had to ascertain the death which occurred from natural causes.

He was originally from Rome, he enlisted in 1983 and retired six years ago, in 2015.

The news of his disappearance caused grief and emotion in the police station. Sandro Ippoliti, “Ippo” for his friends, was in fact much appreciated by his colleagues (and not only) for his human skills and for his undoubted sympathy.

«He was a sunny person and always available – says those who still work in the offices of Viale Venezia -, everyone was happy to work with him. He left an excellent memory ».
