On the premise of ensuring safety and quality, we ensured the progress of the project. After the main structure is capped, we will transfer to the construction of the auxiliary structure to prepare for the next shield construction. Xi’an subway lines under construction are in steady progress

Up to now, the lines under construction of Xi’an Metro are progressing steadily. It is planned to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2022. The third phase of Line 1 is from Qindu Station to Forest Park Station, with a line length of 10.6 kilometers and 7 stations. At present, the main structure of 5 stations has been capped.
The north-south section of the second phase of Line 2 is 6.9 kilometers long. The north extension section is from Caotan North Station to the North Railway Station, and the south extension section is from Weiqu South Station to Changning Station. There are 4 stations. At present, three stations have achieved the main structure capping.
Line 8 is a loop project with a length of 49.9 kilometers and 37 stations, of which 2 stations are constructed simultaneously by Line 6, and 4 stations are constructed by Xingfu Forest Belt. There are 31 new stations in this phase. At present, the main structure of 9 stations has been capped, 13 stations have entered the main structure construction, and the work of the remaining stations is progressing steadily.
The first phase of Line 10 is from Yangjiazhuang Station to Shuijing Park Station. The line is 34.4 kilometers long and has 17 stations. At present, all stations have started construction, and the main structures of 5 stations have been capped.
The first phase of Line 16 is from Fengdong Town Station to Energy 3rd Road Station. The line is 15.0 kilometers long and has 9 stations. The line is constructed by Xixian New District.
A reporter from China Business Daily learned that on June 12, 2019, the National Development and Reform Commission officially approved the “Phase III Construction Plan for Urban Rail Transit in Xi’an”, with a total of 7 projects totaling 150 kilometers, all of which can be completed and opened to traffic by the end of 2025. By then, a rail transit operation network of 12 lines and 422 kilometers will be formed within the city limits of Xi’an.
