Arriva TRANSFORMERS – THE AWAKENING Monday 5 February at 9.15pm on Sky Cinema Uno streaming on NOW and available on demand. A new epic adventure born from the 80s toy line produced by the American Hasbro and from the Japanese Takara Tomywhich over the years has inspired cartoons, comics, films and video games.

SYNOPSIS – The seventh chapter of the saga, sequel to Bumblebee and second prequel to Transformers; aset in 1994, it features ex-soldier Noah Diaz and researcher Elena Wallace, who join forces with those of the Autobots to try to save the Earth from destruction. Two other factions of Transformers also enter the scene in battles around the world, both capable of transforming into animals: the Maximals, including Airazor and Optimus Primal, ancestors of the Autobots, and the Predacons, descendants of the Decepticons.

The film was nominated for 3 Oscars® in 2008. Two years after the events and the release of the first film, in 2009, the second spectacular adventure was released, TRANSFORMERS – REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, where we find Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox who, together with the Autobots, find themselves having to fight against the Decepticons who intend to awaken their supreme leader. 2011 was the year of TRANSFORMERS 3, in which John Turturro and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley join Shia LaBeouf in the cast. Here the Autobots must not only defend themselves from the Decepticons, but also from a terrible new enemy. In 2014 the fourth chapter of the saga dedicated to Hasbro characters was created, TRANSFORMERS 4 – AGE OF EXTINCTION with Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci in which, five years after the events of the third film, an inventor finds Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots. In 2017 we find Mark Wahlberg, this time together with Anthony Hopkins, in TRANSFORMERS – THE LAST KNIGHT, where an unexpected alliance proves to be the only chance to save Earth from a space threat. Instead, BUMBLEBEE by Travis Knight was released in 2018, the first prequel of the saga, set in the 80s.
