The gaming experience on Apple’s Vision Pro has recently received high praise from a foreign player named Alex Volkov. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Volkov showcased how he successfully played the popular game “Phantom Parlu” on Vision Pro, overcoming the common misconception that the device is not suitable for gaming.
Volkov utilized the “Steam Link” method to play the game on Vision Pro, requiring a host running Steam and an Xbox Bluetooth controller for the gaming experience. According to him, the setting method was simple and straightforward, highlighting the accessibility of gaming on Vision Pro.
In addition to the ease of setting up, Volkov also shared comparisons with his 115-inch 4K HDR projector, emphasizing that the screen size on Vision Pro can be three times larger, reaching up to 300 inches. The color and resolution on Vision Pro were also noted to be higher, providing an enhanced gaming experience compared to traditional projectors.
Furthermore, the ability to execute other applications simultaneously with gaming on Vision Pro was highlighted, showcasing the device’s multitasking capabilities. The foreign YouTube channel Booredatwork.com also shared videos of using Vision Pro to play games using Steam Link and gave high praise for the gaming experience, specifically with the game “Quick Fight.”
Addressing concerns about overheating, Booredatwork.com mentioned that Vision Pro did not get excessively hot after extended gaming sessions, only becoming warmer without affecting the battery.
As interest in gaming on Vision Pro continues to grow, users may see more related applications in the future. However, the high price of $3,500 for Vision Pro remains a barrier for many potential users. It remains to be seen whether Apple will launch a more affordable version in the future, making gaming on Vision Pro more accessible to a wider audience.
